FALL
STREETLIGHT SWITCH

The sodium-vapor streetlights
with fresnel lenses like lidded eyes
have been replaced
with horseshoe-like arcs of LED lights.
As the morning stays dark longer
and evening comes on earlier,
a shift in the character
of nighttime light is more apparent.
The orange push-pop glow
of the sodium-vapors has given way
to a paler and creamier light.
